Arka Defence & Locomotives Limited (formerly Source Industries (India) Limited) is a BSE-listed company with a 42-year operating history, headquartered in Hyderabad. Incorporated in 1984 as Tirumala Textile Processors Ltd., the Company later became Tirumala Seung Han Textiles Ltd. and then Source Industries (India) Limited.

During FY 2025-26 the Company underwent a change in control, discontinued its erstwhile textile business and redefined its business purpose. Shareholders approved the alteration of the Memorandum of Association at an Extraordinary General Meeting on 30 March 2026, and the Registrar of Companies, Hyderabad, issued a fresh Certificate of Incorporation on 30 June 2026 confirming the new name, Arka Defence & Locomotives Limited.

The Company is promoted by Mr. Sudhir Reddy Posireddy (Chairman and Managing Director), Mr. Naraharisetty Mohan Krishna (Whole-Time Director), Mrs. Ramreddy Swathi (Whole-Time Director) and Arka Defence Private Limited, who bring multi-year execution experience in railway signalling, safety systems and defence engineering.

The Company is organised around two verticals: Railway Technologies, including Kavach, yard safety and AI/ML-based design verification, and Defence Technologies, with an emphasis on indigenisation. Its objective is to become an intellectual-property-driven technology enterprise. The Company returned to profitability in FY 2025-26, and its registered office is at 1B, Meenakshi Tech Park, Gachibowli, Hyderabad.
